Zlata Demcenko, MS // Founder, Psychotherapist

Growing up as a first-gen Latvian American with a post-Soviet upbringing/fluency in Russian, I learned to navigate the complexities of cultural identity, bridging the gap between my heritage and the community around me. This background has instilled in me a deep appreciation for diversity, resilience, and the power of adaptation.

I am dedicated to creating inclusive spaces where individuals from all backgrounds feel valued, heard, and empowered to thrive. Through meaningful dialogue, mutual respect, and a strengths-based approach, I aspire to contribute to a more compassionate and interconnected world.

I am committed to social justice and equity, I recognize the profound impact of intersectional factors on individual experiences and well-being. In my practice, I prioritize understanding and addressing the complex interplay of various identities such as race, gender, sexuality, ability, socioeconomic status, and more.

My therapeutic approach is collaborative and empowerment-focused, centering on the client's strengths and resilience while acknowledging the societal barriers they may face. I aim to validate and amplify marginalized voices, while also challenging systems of inequality and advocating for social change.
